If there’s one thing every job site has in common, it’s trash. From busted pallets to tangled rebar and drywall scrap, debris piles up fast. When waste slows down productivity or turns your site into a hazard zone, it’s not just messy—it’s costly. That’s why we designed the Star Industries Forklift Trash Hopper: a simple, safe, and tough-as-nails way to put forklifts to work cleaning up the clutter.

✅ Built to Perform — Features That Make a Difference
🔩 Heavy-Duty All-Steel Construction
Made for real-world use, the Trash Hopper is crafted from rugged steel and designed to take the hits that happen in rough environments..
🚪 Open-Face Design = Easy Loading
Forget tossing junk overhead. With unrestricted front-side access, workers can wheel barrows or buggies directly into the hopper. No lifting, no wasted motion, no excuses.
🔧 Universal Fit Fork Pockets
“Slip on the forks” design works with virtually any extendable reach or straight-mast forklift. Pin locking system keeps it securely in place, even during heavy transport.
📦 Big Load Capacity
Move up to 5.0 cubic yards of debris in one go. That’s a serious dent in your cleanup time. Maximum load capacity? 5,000 lbs.
💪 Enhanced Strength Where It Counts
The Model 1430 includes horizontal reinforcements for added rigidity across its extra-wide body—plus end caps for durability where edge damage usually happens.
⚙️ Fork Pocket Specs:
- Pocket Size (W x H): 3″ x 7.5″
- Pocket Spacing (Center to Center): 39″
- Fork Entry: Forks slide in from the rear, secured by a pin lock
“You have consistently great products, consistently well engineered, easy to use, priced competitively, customer friendly, that increase the utilization of an expensive forklift. For pennies, you can put your dollars back to work.”
— Jim Koontz, Founder & Chairman, Aero Lift Inc.
🦺 Safety First — DOs and DON’Ts of Trash Hopper Operation
✅ DO:
- Inspect fork tines and hopper locking pins before every use
- Secure the hopper using the provided pin locking system — no exceptions
- Make sure the forklift capacity exceeds the loaded hopper weight
- Load evenly to prevent tipping or instability
- Use only on level surfaces or when the forklift is stable
- Wear PPE (gloves, hard hats, safety vests) when loading/unloading
⛔ DON’T:
- Don’t overload beyond rated weight capacity (5,000 lbs max including the weight of the hopper)
- Don’t use on slopes or unstable ground
- Don’t allow personnel to ride in or on the hopper (it’s not a man basket!)
- Don’t lift if debris is sticking out past the top edge
- Don’t use with damaged or unpinned fork pockets
