  • The standard “Low Profile” Truss Boom is used with most forklift models except those that utilize an extra wide quick-tach design.
  • JCB Q-Fit, Gehl Dynacarrier, Bobcat Versa Handler and Ingersoll-Rand models VR518, VR623, VR638 quick-tach designs require the “Wide Back”.
  • Dimensions and empty weights will vary depending on which Quick-Tach is required. Above load ratings are for the truss boom only and do not reflect actual forklift load capabilities. Forklift make, model, quick-tach style and serial number may be required when ordering.

Danger: Do NOT use without installing retaining pins behind the heel of each fork and securing with hairpins or cotter pins. Safety chain(s) must also be used. Wrap chain around a strong part of the fork carriage and secure with locking grab hook. Operating manual/safety information available online and by calling 1-800-541-1797.

Turn Your Lift into a Crane with a Quick-Tach Forklift Truss Boom

Lifting heavy loads over obstacles can be challenging and hazardous with only a forklift. However, the task does not always justify the expense or use of a crane, and a purpose-built telehandler is not always available on-site. This is where the Quick-Tach forklift truss boom excels. It combines the lifting power of a crane with the speed and maneuverability of an extended-reach forklift.

Features of a Forklift Quick-Tach Truss Boom

With a vertical reach of up to 15’ and load capacity from 2,000 lbs to 22,000 lbs, this makes QT truss boom for forklifts the perfect attachment for metal building erection, setting wooden trusses, putting up post frame buildings, and many more crane-type jobs.

Standard features of a quality truss boom include:

Suitable for Many Forklift Models

The quick-tach truss boom is an adaptable attachment that can be easily installed on various forklift models. Its quick-attach mechanism allows for swift and seamless integration, transforming a standard forklift into a highly functional lifting tool.

Variety of Sizes

Forklift boom attachments are available in various sizes, from wide-back truss booms with an effective length of 15ft to low-profile truss booms with 2ft effective length. Depending on the model and the rating of your forklift, the weight capacity ranges from 2,000 lbs to a massive 22,000 lbs.

Robust Construction

Built from high-grade structural materials and fully welded seams, the quick-tach truss boom is designed to withstand the rigors of heavy-duty usage. Its robust construction ensures durability and longevity, making it a reliable asset for any industrial operation.

High-Load Capacity

Designed to handle substantial weights, the forklift truss boom can easily lift and transport heavy loads. This high load capacity makes it suitable for various applications, from construction to manufacturing.

Enhanced Reach

One of the truss boom’s standout features is its extended reach capability. This allows operators to access hard-to-reach areas, making it ideal for lifting materials to elevated positions.

Benefits of a Forklift Quick-Tach Truss Boom

 Improved Efficiency

The Quick-Tach truss boom is easy to attach and detach, boosting efficiency by minimizing downtime. Its extendable reach helps operators complete tasks faster and more precisely.

Increased Safety

Safety is a critical concern in any industrial setting. The forklift boom attachment contributes to a safer work environment by ensuring that materials are securely lifted and moved, minimizing the risk of accidents and injuries.

Cost-Effective

By enhancing the capabilities of an existing forklift, businesses can avoid the expense of purchasing or renting additional heavy lifting equipment such as cranes. Furthermore, the improved efficiency and safety it provides can result in reduced labor costs and fewer workplace incidents.

Versatility and Flexibility

The truss boom’s adjustable length and high load capacity allow it to handle various tasks, from lifting construction materials to moving large manufacturing components. This flexibility allows a single piece of equipment to be used for multiple applications, maximizing its utility.

Forklift Booms: Usage in Different Industries

Construction

The boom is indispensable for lifting and transporting heavy materials such as steel beams, trusses, and concrete blocks in the construction industry. Its extended reach is beneficial for placing materials at elevated heights, such as during building erection or the assembly of large structures.

Manufacturing

Manufacturing operations often involve moving large and heavy components. The quick-tach truss boom enhances the efficiency of these operations by allowing forklifts to lift and position materials with precision. This is especially beneficial in assembly lines and production areas where timely and accurate material handling is crucial.

Warehousing and Logistics

In warehousing and logistics, the quick-tach truss boom facilitates the efficient handling of long and bulky items, such as pipes and lumber. Its ability to extend the reach of a forklift simplifies the storage and retrieval of materials from high shelves, improving overall inventory management.
